Photo Restoration and Retouching
is an art that takes years to master. Judy Howle, owner of Heritage Photos, is a photographer and computer tutor in Columbus, MS. She has exhibited photos at MUW, the Rosensweig Arts Center, and the Columbus Public Library. She has taught classes at MUW under the Continuing Education Department from 2002 - 2005, and currently teaches digital photography and Photoshop Elements classes at the Rozensweig Arts Center. A photo of a loved one is priceless; don't let the passing years slowly destroy your cherished photos. All restoration and retouching work is done digitally using a scanner and computer. Your original photo is completely safe. Restoration of old photos starts with a high quality scan of the original It involves painstaking work to remove spots, stains, mend cracks and tears, and bring out colors and details that were lost. I can make most faded, age-damaged photos look like they did the day they were made. Annoying backgrounds can be "softened" to focus attention on the main subject, or removed altogether. Black and white photos can be given a sepia-toned look to add another layer of antiquity to their appearance, or given a "hand colored" treatment that was popular with many old photos before the advent of color photography. I also offer facial retouching and image ehancing for scanned prints or digital photos, including glamour retouching. I can create custom photo slide shows, Power Point Presentations and offer other imaging services. Our prices page will give you some idea of how much you can expect to pay for restoring or retouching your images.
